Just as I happily eat ice cream during London’s winter, drinking tea at any time was an English habit acquired after the last few years living here! The traditional afternoon tea experience is a delight to me. And a good option to take visitors or even for those who live in London is Charlotte Street hotel.
The Hotel is located in Fitzrovia, between Soho and Covent Garden. A good tour suggestion is to have a very tasty afternoon tea there after visiting the British Museum which is very close.
The hotel’s restaurant has super cool decor and the good value afternoon tea which is great! Afternoon tea is not usually cheap. Currently, tea at Charlotte Street costs £28 per person and the option with a glass of champagne £36.
Like most traditional teas the menu consists of a selection of mini sandwiches, pastries, scones – a roll usually eaten with cream and jam that I LOVE! And of course, tea, which can be changed to another hot drink like coffee or chocolate.
Looking forward to doing these little programs that I love here in London soon. 🙂
